ATTUNEMENT, TRUST, AND MUTUAL RESPECT

I believe healing happens within attuned relationships grounded in trust, mutual respect, and partnership. Strength is found in vulnerability and authenticity, and conflict—whether in life or relationships—offers opportunities for growth. An honest, connected relationship with oneself and others is the foundation of living with integrity.

SELF-AWARENESS

No matter what is happening around me, I believe it is possible to cultivate control over what is happening within me and to choose my response. As Viktor Frankl said, “Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.”

Our relationships with others naturally flow from the relationship we have with ourselves. By becoming aware of how we speak to ourselves and learning to be our own best advocate, we strengthen our sense of belonging and connection to others.

AUTHENTICITY AND VULNERABILITY

I believe our core values can only be truly expressed with honesty and integrity when we live authentically, in alignment with who we are and who God created us to be. Authenticity requires vulnerability—trusting that who we are, as we are, is both enough and not too much. When we live as our true selves, we inspire others to do the same. Worrying about what others think only distracts us from living courageously.

Living authentically is a continuous practice. Aligning my outer life with my inner truth is an act of courageous living. Life’s hurts and challenges have served as catalysts for growth, teaching me to embrace imperfection with greater self-acceptance, self-compassion, and grace.

As Rumi beautifully expressed, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right-doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." I strive to live in that space, releasing the need to always be right, and instead leaning into uncertainty, mystery, faith, beauty, awe, and wonder. This imperfect path of being human offers ongoing opportunities for growth and transformation.
